Rebate Details:

For split systems, the condenser and evaporative coil must be new and replaced during the installation.

• For an AC system with a SEER rating between 15 and 15.9, you’ll be eligible for a rebate of $150 per ton.
• AC systems with SEER ratings above 16.0 will mean a rebate of $250 per ton.
• On a 5-ton, 2000 square-foot home, having a 16.0 or greater SEER rated AC system installation plus a new duct system and WiFi thermostat, you could be looking at a rebate of over $1,800!

Discounted Utility Pricing Information

SCE has announced that they are partnering with manufacturers and distributors to give homeowners huge discounts on heat pump installations for homeowners in the SCE service area. We Care Plumbing, Heating, & Air is a participating distributor that can install qualifying heat pump systems, giving you access to these great savings. The discount is immediate, too, meaning you don’t need to wait for a rebate or mail-in some type of voucher to receive your new heat pump at a highly reduced price point. Plus, you’ll feel great about having clean energy in your home, and love the monthly utility savings over traditional heating systems even more!

Central Heat Pumps

The savings for central heat pumps are up to $300/ton on qualifying models. These must be AHRI certified and meet minimum SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factors) tier levels, as well as include an indoor and outdoor unit.

Central heat pumps that qualify for $300/ton discounted pricing:

• SEER ≥ 15 and HSPF ≥ 8.7
• SEER ≥ 16 and HSPF ≥ 9
• SEER ≥ 17 and HSPF ≥ 9.4
• SEER ≥ 18 and HSPF ≥ 9.7

Packaged heat pumps and heat pumps that include furnaces do not qualify for the discounted pricing. Still, there are many great models to select from that do qualify, and we’re here to help you find the perfect choice for your property.

Mini Split Heat Pumps

For mini-split heat pumps, SCE is offering up to $600/ton off of qualifying models. Like qualifying central heat pumps, eligible mini-split heat pumps must meet minimum SEER and HSPF levels, as well as be AHRI certified.

Qualifying mini-split heat pumps and their discounted rates:

• SEER ≥ 15 and HSPF ≥ 8.5 = $300/Cooling Ton
• SEER ≥ 16 and HSPF ≥ 8.8 = $400/Cooling Ton
• SEER ≥ 17 and HSPF ≥ 9.4 = $500/Cooling Ton
• SEER ≥ 18 and HSPF ≥ 9.8 = $600/Cooling Ton

Eligible mini-split heat pump systems have to include an indoor and outdoor unit, and cannot include furnaces.
