Welcome Home Sergeant!

We Care was privileged to donate a heating and cooling system installation to a local veteran.

On December 20, 2014, local veteran and hero Marcos Jimenez was the presented the key to his new home in Murrieta, CA. We Care Plumbing Heating and Air was privileged to be able to assist a charity and local hero in being home for the holidays. We Care, along with many other fine companies, was able to assist Build Homes for Heroes in giving SSG Jimenez and his family an adaptive home.

Army Staff Sergeant Marcos Jimenez was commended for his sacrifices for our country.

Army Staff Sergeant Marcos Jimenez was in the military for nearly twenty years. In March of 2011, he was seriously injured by an improvised explosive device in Logar Province, Afghanistan. His right leg sustained serious injuries in the blast and SSG Jimenez didn’t fully regain consciousness until weeks later. “I know, I might not be able to do things the way I used to,” says SSG Jimenez, “but I can do things. In a different way, but I can still do them.” Among the commendations awarded to SSG Marcos Jimenez were the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Afghanistan Operation Enduring Freedom Medal.

SSG Marcos Jimenez, his wife Lucia Jimenez, and their five children we able to move into their new, fully furnished, mortgage, and festively decorated home just in time for the holidays.

Quite a Day!

On December 20th, more than 150 people showed up to the turn-key ceremony to welcome the wounded warrior home. Spectators included boy scout troops, local government officials, and the Patriot Guard Riders. Representatives from the Build Homes for Heroes, We Care Plumbing Heating and Air, and others who helped make this possible were also present as SSG Marcos received his house key and toured his home.

Build Homes for Heroes

Build Homes for Heroes is the reason that this life-changing day was possible. They are “strongly committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and women who were injured while serving the country during the time of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan” and have donated this and 22 other homes this year. We Care Plumbing Heating and Air was privileged to be able to assist this wonderful charity in their mission.
