Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns, and when challenges arise, a little extra support can make all the difference. That’s exactly what We Care, in partnership with Lennox and the Feel The Love program, set out to do for the Hooper family.
Stepping Up for a Family in Need
The Hooper family has been through an incredibly difficult journey. Landis Hooper suffered a traumatic brain injury in a devastating car accident that changed her life and the lives of her loved ones. As Landis continues on the long road to recovery, her family remains committed to her care, providing 24-hour support to ensure she receives the attention she needs.
When their air conditioning system stopped working, it became even harder to maintain a comfortable home environment — something especially critical for Landis, as regulating body temperature can be a challenge for those recovering from brain injuries.
With medical expenses being the family’s top priority, replacing the AC simply wasn’t feasible. That’s when their community stepped in and nominated them for the Feel The Love program — an initiative designed to help families in need by providing them with essential heating and cooling solutions at no cost.
Community, Care, and Commitment
At the heart of Feel The Love are three key elements: community nominations, Lennox’s donation of high-quality equipment, and the dedication of local dealers who donate their time and resources.
Through this initiative, Lennox provided a brand-new HVAC system, and we rallied our team to handle the installation and provide additional support. It was inspiring to see multiple crews, managers, and volunteers come together, all united by the common goal of making life a little easier for the Hoopers.
The Hoopers were nominated because of their kindness, strength, and the positive impact they’ve had on those around them. Giving back to such a deserving family was truly an honor. And for the Hoopers, this new AC system is more than just home comfort — it’s a reminder that they are surrounded by a caring and supportive community.
